About

Samrudhi Kokate is a designer and analyst with a background in product design, branding, and visual communication. She has worked as a UX designer at a robotics company, a brand designer at a design studio, and now as a staff analyst at the Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) in New York, NY. At the MTA, Samrudhi focuses on making complex systems easier for people to use. At the Design Studies Institute, Samrudhi teaches courses that bring together design theory and hands-on practice. With roots in fine arts and human-centered design, she helps students grow both their creative vision and practical problem-solving skills. She’s especially interested in how design education can better prepare students to work across disciplines.
