Doctor of Design

The Doctor of Design (DDes) program develops new knowledge across the design disciplines. You will hone and refine your position as a thought leader in your area of design practice by developing a practice-based design research agenda. The DDes program elevates your work as a design practitioner through a community of practice model. You will be supported by peers, a faculty advisor, and an advisory committee of affiliate faculty. Through reading, writing, dialogue, and reflection, you’ll develop as a design scholar in the DDes program.
